In lieu of soap
For so long, I had no schedule or routine for Lucy. She called the shots and when she was tired, she slept. When she was hungry, I fed her. But when she was about 3 months, we started introducing some routine. Her bedtime routine is by far the most effective - we go through our night time motions and when we put her in her crib she is ready for sleep. However, someone let me know that as soon as you get settled into some kind of normalcy, something happens and the schedule goes out the window...
I think this time it's a stubborn tooth or two trying to break through! And it's been waking up our little pumpkin (and us) more frequently through the night. She was pretty tired come bedtime-routine-time tonight, so we skipped the bath and went straight to jammies and bed. In lieu of soap, I'll just refer to this picture of my squeaky clean babe from a few nights ago.
